Press Release Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: [11 October 2026]
Policy Version: PR-LEGAL-1.1
These Press Release Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the submission and consideration of press releases through the Business Kaise Karein (“BKK”) Press Release service.
The service is operated by Maya Media (“BKK”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By submitting a Press Release through BKK, you (“you”, “customer” or “submitter”) acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
1. About the BKK Press Release Service
BKK Press Release provides businesses, organisations, professionals and other eligible users with an opportunity to submit announcement, informational or promotional material for consideration for publication through the BKK website and related channels.
Submission does not automatically mean publication.
Every submission remains subject to BKK’s editorial, compliance, technical and publication processes.
2. Eligibility and Authority
You confirm that:
- you are legally competent to use the service;
- the information provided by you is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- if you are submitting on behalf of a company, organisation or another person, you have the necessary authority to do so;
- you will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.
BKK may request additional information or supporting documentation where reasonably necessary.
3. Submission Credits
Where a Press Release plan operates through submission credits:
- the applicable number of credits will be shown through the relevant BKK service or plan;
- a completed Press Release submission may consume the applicable submission credit;
- credits are associated with the customer’s BKK account;
- credits cannot be transferred to another account unless BKK expressly permits such transfer;
- customers should not repeatedly resubmit a release following a technical or administrative error without contacting BKK.
A submission credit provides access to the submission and editorial consideration process. It does not constitute a guarantee of publication.
4. No Guarantee of Publication
Payment, subscription, entitlement or use of a Press Release credit does not guarantee publication.
BKK may, at its reasonable editorial or operational discretion:
- approve a submission;
- request changes;
- hold a submission;
- delay publication;
- reject a submission;
- modify material for editorial presentation;
- remove or restrict a previously published Press Release where circumstances require.
BKK does not guarantee:
- publication on a particular date;
- publication for a particular duration;
- search-engine indexing;
- search ranking;
- SEO performance;
- backlinks or link equity;
- website traffic;
- leads or enquiries;
- social-media reach;
- conversions or sales;
- business results arising from publication.
5. Editorial Independence
The Press Release service is separate from BKK’s independent editorial judgment.
Where a Press Release service is paid, payment or purchase of a submission plan does not constitute payment for editorial approval or favourable editorial treatment.
BKK retains the right to determine whether submitted material meets its editorial, legal, technical, safety and compliance requirements.
6. Customer Responsibility
You are responsible for the material you submit.
You must not knowingly submit material that is:
- false or materially misleading;
- defamatory or unlawfully harmful to another person or organisation;
- fraudulent or deceptive;
- unlawful;
- infringing of intellectual-property rights;
- in violation of another person’s privacy or legal rights;
- intended to facilitate unlawful activity;
- malicious or harmful to computer systems;
- accompanied by malicious or deceptive links;
- presented as official, government-issued or independently verified information when it is not;
- otherwise prohibited by applicable BKK policies or applicable law.
BKK may request clarification, evidence or supporting documentation where appropriate.
7. Accuracy of Information
You confirm that the information contained in your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge at the time of submission.
You remain responsible for claims relating to your:
- company or organisation;
- products or services;
- prices;
- financial information;
- awards;
- certifications;
- partnerships;
- achievements;
- statistics;
- market claims;
- regulatory or government references;
- professional qualifications;
- customer or business results.
Publication by BKK does not convert a customer-supplied claim into an independently verified BKK claim.
8. Intellectual Property and Permission
You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights, licences, permissions or authority to submit all material supplied to BKK, including:
- written content;
- photographs;
- graphics;
- logos;
- trademarks;
- videos;
- audio;
- documents;
- quotations;
- embedded or linked material.
By submitting material for publication, you grant BKK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, reproduce, display, format, resize, technically process and publish the submitted material for the operation, distribution and promotion of the Press Release service, subject to applicable law.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your intellectual property to BKK.
9. Images and Other Media
Submitted images and media may be technically processed for web delivery.
This may include reasonable:
- resizing;
- compression;
- cropping;
- formatting;
- optimisation.
BKK may refuse or remove an image, video or other media where there are reasonable concerns relating to:
- copyright or ownership;
- privacy;
- legality;
- safety;
- authenticity;
- technical compatibility;
- editorial suitability.
You remain responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for submitted media.
10. Links and Backlinks
Customers may submit relevant website, article, YouTube or social-media URLs where supported by the applicable Press Release plan.
Submitted links may be reviewed before publication.
BKK may refuse, remove or modify a submitted link where it considers this necessary for editorial, technical, legal, safety, security or compliance reasons.
BKK does not guarantee:
- backlink availability;
- backlink permanence;
- SEO benefit;
- search ranking;
- link equity;
- referral traffic.
11. AI-Assisted Content
You may use artificial intelligence or other automated tools in preparing your Press Release.
However, you remain responsible for the final material submitted to BKK.
You confirm that you have reviewed the submitted content and are responsible for:
- factual accuracy;
- legality;
- originality or lawful use;
- intellectual-property rights;
- claims and representations;
- personal information contained in the submission;
- compliance with applicable laws and policies.
The use of AI does not transfer responsibility for the submitted material to BKK.
12. Editorial Changes
BKK may make reasonable editorial, formatting, grammatical, technical or presentation changes to submitted material.
Where a material factual, legal or compliance issue is identified, BKK may request clarification or changes from the submitter.
BKK may decline requested changes where those changes conflict with editorial, legal, technical, safety or compliance requirements.
13. Publication Dates and Embargoes
A requested publication date is a preference unless BKK expressly confirms the date.
Where an embargo is provided, BKK will make reasonable efforts to respect it.
However, publication timing may be affected by editorial, legal, technical, operational or other legitimate considerations.
BKK does not guarantee publication on a requested or preferred date unless expressly confirmed in writing.
14. Commercial and Promotional Material
Press Releases may contain information about businesses, products, services, launches, events, investments, partnerships or other commercial activities.
Where applicable, BKK may apply an appropriate commercial, promotional or sponsored-content disclosure.
Publication of commercial information does not constitute an endorsement or certification by BKK.
15. Removal, Correction or Modification
BKK may correct, modify, restrict or remove a published Press Release where reasonably necessary, including because of:
- factual errors;
- rights or copyright concerns;
- legal requirements;
- complaints;
- misleading or unlawful content;
- fraud;
- security concerns;
- regulatory or court directions;
- material breach of these Terms;
- technical or operational reasons.
Further details are provided in the BKK Press Release Corrections, Complaints & Takedown Policy.
16. Account Suspension
BKK may suspend or restrict access to the Press Release service where it reasonably believes that:
- an account is being misused;
- fraudulent activity is suspected;
- repeated policy violations have occurred;
- submitted material creates significant legal or operational risk;
- the service is being used for unlawful purposes;
- there is a serious security concern.
17. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds, cancellations and unused-credit treatment are subject to the applicable commercial plan and BKK’s Refund/Cancellation Policy.
Because publication is subject to editorial review, payment for a submission does not by itself create a guarantee of publication.
The final refund and credit-treatment provisions applicable to each plan will be displayed or incorporated into the relevant commercial terms.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude any consumer or other legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Limitation of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BKK shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential or business losses arising from:
- publication or non-publication;
- publication delays;
- editorial modification;
- removal of content;
- search-engine indexing or ranking decisions;
- third-party platform behaviour;
- loss of traffic, leads or business opportunities;
- customer-supplied information or claims.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
19. Customer Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities or reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms or from material submitted by you that is unlawful, misleading, infringing or unauthorised.
This provision does not remove any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.
20. Privacy
Personal information submitted through the Press Release service may be processed for account administration, submission processing, editorial review, publication, customer support, security, legal compliance and related legitimate purposes.
Please refer to the BKK Privacy Policy and the Press Release-specific privacy provisions contained within it for further information.
21. Changes to These Terms
BKK may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:
- changes to the service;
- legal or regulatory requirements;
- editorial requirements;
- security requirements;
- operational changes.
The latest version will be made available on this page.
The applicable version may depend on the date and circumstances of the customer’s submission or transaction.
22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable in India.
