Slipper sole cutting machine is required to cut soles from rubber sheets. After cutting, soles edges are smoothened with the help of grinding machine. Generally grinding and drilling machine come with two-in-one function. Drilling is required to punch holes for straps. Then with the help of strap inserting machine, strap is inserted into the sole. To give a shining look, silicon liquid is used to polish, which is done by rubbing silicon dipped cloth on the slipper.
Though manual machines are available if one wants to start business with ultra low investment as low as Rs 7,000 only. The manual slipper machine do not require electricity. However, the production is limited owing to the fact that you have to cut soles using your body power. Third category of slipper sole cutting machine is hydraulic machine, which consume less electricity and produces slippers at a faster rate.

Our machine can be operated in 3 modes- manual, automatic and remote; and can cut sheets from 10 am to 40 mm whereas slipper sheets are generally only 10 mm to 20 mm”, says Rupesh Kumar from Parazone Engineering Works.
“Our machines use double die that means a pair is cut simultaneously that minimizes wastage of rubber sheets. The cutting is so smooth that one does not even need grinding. We are offering our Avtaar Machine at a discounted price of just Rs 61,000 for our valued customers”, Rupesh added.

“To give a grooved surface look, readymade embossed sheets are available. But if someone wants a custom designed flip flops, we have a separate embossing machine too. To print any picture, logo or custom design, we provide screen printing machine, frames and raw material at a very cheap price”, adds Rupesh Kumar, who have helped thousand unemployed youth having successfully set up their slipper making units across India.
Slipper making business is a very profitable business. Profit margins in slipper making business range from 25% to 100% depending on wholesale or retail. An embossed pair of slipper may cost around Rs 40 and manufacturer can draw a profit from Rs 1- 5 depending on the volume supplied in wholesale. One box may contain 60 pairs and a minimum 10 boxes supplied in wholesale. In retail market same flip flop pair would sell in Rs 80. One can sell in wholesale, retail or even online while export is an option available to anyone who wish to produce good quality slippers in high numbers.
