Construction industry has seen unprecedented growth in recent years. As focus of Government, local bodies and even private builders shifts on creating infrastructure for development, there has arisen a huge gap in demand and supply of bricks of different types. As red brick kilns create air pollution and there is depletion of fertile soil in making such bricks, Government is promoting alternate technologies and products. Here comes the opportunity to manufacture bricks that are cost effective, full of strength and environment friendly.
Interlocking tiles paver blocks are used for horizontal surface like laying footpath, constructing surface in and around petrol pumps for heavy load vehicles, pavements for park, cinemas, societies, farmhouse etc. Similarly fly ash bricks are alternatively used for vertical laying of walls in building construction. Fly ash otherwise a pollutant make a great combination when mixed with sand dust, aggregate and cement. People now। a days using cost effective chemical hardner while making such bricks. This not only offers cumulative strength but also demands less water for curing.
With same 6-in-1 paver block machinery, not only interlocking tiles, fly ash bricks and cement bricks can be made; but also poles for agriculture field wiremesh, blocks for boundary walls, park chairs and benches, stairs cement railings can be manufactured. Iron oxide colour can be added to these tiles/ blocks to make them look beautiful of different colours. Paver block machinery includes two vibration tables, colour pan mixer, concrete mixer, supporting table. There is also requirement of moulds of different shape, size as per requirement.
The whole paver block plant set up requires an area of around 5,000 square feet for production, stacking and stocking and dispatch area for vehicle movement. A shade of 200×200 feet can be constructed for interrupted production of bricks in all seasons. Machinery require a 5 kw connection of three phase. However, single phase motor can also be used in such machinery. Road side location of plant helps in visual marketing of the product. There would be requirement of 5-6 skilled, semi skilled and unskilled labour. Installation, training and service is generally provided by machine manufacturer.
